Untangling biological complexity through systems biology.

Group activities.

We develop systems biology approaches to untangle complexity of biological processes on multiple levels from molecular interactions to organ and microbial - host interactions.

We focus on effects of natural compounds bioactivity on homeostasis and understanding gastrointestinal tract microbiota spatial specificity and host-interactions. We are applying network analytical approaches to integrate and interpret biological data such as genomics, transcriptomics and metabolomics. Knowledge gathered in molecular networks could serve as a mean to break down the data complexity or define weights for predictive modelling.
