The role:

The Science Communications trainee will join the Communications Group at Earlham Institute to learn the ropes of working in a science communications team. The trainee role will be varied and interesting for anyone looking to establish themselves in the field of science communications, or more generally in the field of communications, marketing and PR. You will be joining a multi-skilled and innovative team, with the chance to get to grips with a variety of important aspects of working in such a dynamic environment, as well as being introduced to diverse skill sets.

Required qualifications and experience:

The successful applicant to join the Earlham Institute Communications Group will have at least 5 A-C grade GSCEs and it would be beneficial to have knowledge of the sciences, particularly biology.

They will have Social Media experience and be comfortable working with a variety of people across the Institute. The Science Communications Trainee must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.


Additional information:

Salary on appointment will be within the range £16,835 to £17,860 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This post is for a contract of 6 months.
