I'm a PhD Student at the Earlham Institute, affiliated with the School of Biological Science at the University of East Anglia. My project focuses on using computational biology to study a number of Dioscorea (yam) species.
I previously joined EI as Project Management Assistant, and later Project Support Officer (Science), within the EI Project Management Office. Supporting the effective and efficient management, and delivery, of grant-funded academic-funded sequencing projects.
Prior to EI, I completed my BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences degree at the University of East Anglia, where I specialised in cell biology and cancer. Partaking in a final year research project and summer studentship with Prof Dylan Edwards studying the role of novel metalloproteases in the crosstalk between adipocytes and ductal carcinoma.
