The role:

The Head of Communications will work alongside our scientists, students and support groups to lead, direct and manage a proactive, strategic communications service for the Institute. They will coordinate both internal and external communications, public relations, marketing, branding, social media, digital and stakeholder engagement activities. They will be a senior member of the Institute and an ambassador for our research.

Required qualifications and experience:

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level and have an excellent understanding of the landscape for our research. They will be an experienced strategic communications lead in a similar organisation, with proven ability to develop and promote a clear, coherent brand.

Additional information:

Starting salary on appointment will be £49,540 - £60,430 per annum (pro-rata for a part-time appointment) depending on qualifications and experience. This role is offered on a permanent basis.

Closing date for applications is 22nd September 2019. Interviews will take place across two days 03 - 04 October 2019.
