Biography
I am a visiting researcher at the Earlham Biofoundry, working with the Biofoundry Manager, Carolina Grandellis. My project here is to create a barcoded mutant library in the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. This is a collaboration with the Edinburgh Genome Foundry.
I obtained a Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Bremen (Germany) in 1999 and have been a ‘travelling’ postdoc ever since, with stopes in Wales, England, Sweden and Denmark. My background is molecular microbiology with interests in plant biology and microscopy.
