Giovanni Gendarini

I am a second year genetics undergraduate student from the University of York and I arrived at the EI through the year in industry program. I am part of the Synthetic Biology group, where I am working on a project to incorporate an unnatural amino acid into a protein synthetized by Nicotiana Benthamiana. After this year at the EI, I plan to graduate and, hopefully, pursue a career in genetic engineering or synthetic biology.

I spend most of my spare time practicing Muay Thai and MMA, but I also have a passion for history and cooking.
