Lorcán Pigott-Dix

Lorcán Pigott-Dix joined the Earlham Institute in October 2019 as a PhD student. His project focuses on improving data integration through automatic semantic description of biological data using machine learning. The aim of this project is to develop a suggestion and correction mechanism for life sciences metadata.

Lorcán has a BSc in Biological Sciences from Nottingham Trent University, and an MSc in Computation Methods in Ecology and Evolution from Imperial College London. Outside of academia, Lorcán has worked in the Environmental policy sector, and in Data Analytics.
