I am a post-doctoral researcher in Dr Nicola Patron's group.

The expression of a gene is dependent on the position and stability of the nucleosomes as they dictate the accessibility of DNA to transcription factors and transcriptional machinery. Therefore I will be working on engineering nucleosome positioning to alter the gene expression in plants.

I completed my Ph.D. in plant developmental biology from National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, India, where I studied the role of lysine-specific histone demethylases in regulating floral transition in Arabidopsis.
