Biography

I am involved in several projects that aim to understand genomic evolution through computational analysis of large-scale, multi-omic data. I work on the 10,000 Salmonella genomes project, a global analysis of epidemiology, transmission and virulence of invasive non-typhoidal Salmonellosis, and the Darwin Tree of Life Project, which aims to sequence all eukaryotic life in the UK and Ireland. My expertise also includes comparative genomic analysis of intestinal eukaryotes which helps understand the complex interactions that exist in the intestinal environment and which may contribute to disease and human health.
