As Research Manager, Chloe Warren provides project management support to the Institute’s Research Faculty, working across grants, governance, staff development, and events.

Following the completion of her BSc in Biological Sciences from the UEA in 2011, Chloe relocated to Australia where she managed the Centre for Bioinformatics, Biomarker Discovery and Information-Based Medicine at the University of Newcastle.

She then undertook her PhD in Medical Genetics, throughout which time she developed her science communication and public engagement skills. She went on to work as an independent science journalist and communications consultant; Chloe has been published by The Guardian, Ensia (US), the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Huffington Post. In 2019, she was awarded a stipend by the EU to attend the World Conference of Science Journalists in Switzerland.

Inspired by her experience producing science/ art events (including Pint of Science Australia in 2017), Chloe founded Uncapital Productions, a cultural enterprise dedicated to connecting artists to local and national opportunities as part of sustainable professional practise.

Through this endeavour she has developed extensive skills in grant applications, management and scoping, community and cultural development, career strategy and professional development, and events management.
