Biography
Shasha is a visiting PhD student in Li group at the Earlham Institute. Her research focuses on genomic foundation models and agentic system for scientific discovery.
Her work evaluates and interprets genomic foundation models to assess whether they learn meaningful biological patterns rather than dataset artefacts. She also develops AI agents that connect biological databases and scientific literature through knowledge graphs to support plant science research.
Her goal is to translate advances in AI into reliable tools that deepen biological understanding and support scientific discovery.
