I work with Grant Bexson aiming to maintain and improve the scientific facilities here at the Earlham Institute.

My role involves regular laboratory tasks such as waste management and the use of the autoclave.

Additionally, my role includes working with Grant on projects designed to improve efficiency, safety and security of the laboratories here and the equipment they use.

I did my BSc at the University of Nottingham in Microbiology. Here, I also spent a year training at the local Army Officer Training Corps. I then went on to work in a food testing lab for 6 months before starting my MSc in Molecular Medicine at the UEA.

My research project was conducted at the Quadram Institute in Stephen Robinson's lab. My research project focused on probiotic Bifidobacterium species and hypothesising how they were interacting with the innate gut immune system in murine models to reduce the growth of triple-negative breast cancer in experimental results.
