Biography
I am a bioinformatician and evolutionary biologist working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Earlham Institute.
Since I was a child I was fascinated with biology and how living beings could evolve over huge evolutionary distances. During my doctorate, I was finally to delve into this interest by working on horizontal gene transfer in prokaryotes and questions relating to eukaryogenesis and the origin of life.
Now I look forward to utilizing population genetics and metagenomic studies to use what I learned on a smaller scale: the adaptation of the microbiome.
