Greg is a communications professional with a background in both science and journalism. He has extensive experience in media relations, public engagement and audience-centred communications planning.
He is part of an award-winning communications team working to bring EI’s science to life and help deliver against its strategic organisational objectives. Greg joined EI from the British Heart Foundation (BHF), where he was Media Manager for Research and responsible for their research communications, public engagement and digital research content.
During his three years at the BHF, he has led the international marketing and engagement activity for their grand challenge initiative – a single funding award of up to £30m to tackle any issue in heart and circulatory disease research.
Greg has also worked in the press offices at Cancer Research UK and Unicef UK, lectured on science journalism at City, University of London, and spent time as a freelance journalist and sub-editor.
