My PhD project involves development of a high throughput method of monitoring fungicide resistance using next-generation sequencing techniques. This is a collaboration between The Saunders Group at the Earlham Institute, Curtin University in Australia and Syngenta who contribute towards the funding of my project. Previously I worked within the Platforms and Pipelines Team at EI where I participated in the QC, synthesis and sequencing of RNA samples.
I have also worked at other Institutes across the Norwich Research Park and as part of my studies for a BSc Biochemistry with a Year in Industry at University of East Anglia carried out research into Industrial biotechnology exploitation of agri-food waste under Professor Keith Waldron at the Institute of Food Research.
