Wiktor Jurkowski

I lead the Jurkowski Group at the Earlham Institute. We develop systems biology approaches to untangle complexity of biological processes on multiple levels from molecular interactions to organ and microbial - host interactions. The group’s research focuses on interpretation of genetic variation and functional integration of omics data sets applied to human nutrition and gut health.

Current projects include: studies on diet as means of intervention to prevent disease and control disease development; understanding intestinal distribution of microbes contributing to specific aspects of host metabolism and signalling; natural compounds as leads in drug design.
