
Biography
Anil is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Haerty group focusing on characterising non-coding transcripts and regulatory regions associated with traits of interest in bread wheat.
Anil joined the Earlham Institute in September 2011 as a scientific programmer (in Davey group) involved in the development of EI's internal solutions for data management and visualisation, such as TGAC Browser, Aequatus, MISO as well as Galaxy tools and workflow development. During this time Anil obtained PhD by Publication from the University of East Anglia.
Before joining EI, Anil completed an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Leicester and a BSc in Bioinformatics from Saurashtra University, India. He has also worked at the Birla Institute of Scientific Research (BISR), Jaipur, India as a Project Trainee as a part of Bachelors degree.
Anil's main area of interest is open-source software development for the scientific community.
